Venue hire for 3 hours and the guided crafting workshop will take 60-80 minute.
Deep edge 40:50 cm canvas for each individual participant to paint their artwork OR the option to paint a single mega size artwork collaboratively for a shared space/office
Professional art mediums and artistry graffiti tools supplied from studio’s stock

WHAT YOU WILL PAINT & AIRBRUSH:

You will be introduced to Graffiti street art, inspired by Melbourne's famous city laneways and choose a design to create from the gallery collection of curated designs; or the option to work with featured artist Sossy to come up with something truly unique and creative on your own.

You will then be set-up with a canvas on an easel and start painting! The process for painting these artworks involves an indoor and outdoor element. We will begin in the indoor gallery space with painting an abstract underlayer with a mix of acylic and alcohol mediums. After we have all finished with this stage, we wil move to the undercover space beind the gallery to spray paint the final layers of the artwork. Finally, you will seal your artowrk with an acrlic spray sealant and leave your artwork to dry.

The artwork process will take approximately 2 hours and you will receive live step-by-step guidance from artist Sossy to lead you through the process. A range of metallic and other paint finish options will be available for dramatic effects in the final touches. Sossy will be working with you - her artist brush and graffiti can in hand - to work with you to give your artwork that artist flair.

Follow Sossy into her surreal artist-studio environment, where you will be swept into a world of colour and beauty that connects you with your creative side. We invite you into Sossy’s inspired gallery, located at the vibrant Elsternwick Village, 475 Glen Huntly Rd.

Sculpt an Art Masterpiece With the Team | DIY Artist Workshop is led by professional artist and master at her craft, Sossy. Between the gallery walls, home to captivating oil paint artworks and abundant space that inspires, Sossy shares the special techniques she has developed through years of experience in the oil paint medium. As Sossy’s works hang in prominent homes, galleries and spaces around the world, she returns to her Melbourne roots to share her artistry, techniques and expertise with beginners and creatives alike.

Through Sossy’s instruction, your mind will be open to the possibilities that your inner artist can create, with the moulding knife as your tool and your creativity as the only limit.

How long does the Session run for?

The duration of this workshop is approximately 2 hours and includes time to sip and nibble on the lovely array of mocktails and canapes from the S&C Catering menu.

What ages are these workshops suitable for?

These workshops are suited for family groups of children and adults ages 8+ and artist Sossy will ensure that each participant can work on a segment of the artwork that is comfortably within their abilities.

Adult Hens’ Nights and Corporate events where BYOA alcohol will be served are strictly for patrons that are 18+ years of age.

Do I need prior expertise or experience?

No, prior skill and experience is not required. This workshops cater towards all abilities.

Are Alcoholic Sips Allowed?

You are welcome to bring your favorite bottle of wine as a BYOA and glassware will be provided by the Studio

What do we need to bring with us to the Workshop?

Your creativity and inspired mind. We will supply everything your group will need to create your own masterpiece. BYO sips and nibbles is welcome; however we will be supplying a selection of themed canapes and mocktails, complimentary with this package.

Are there bathroom / Washroom facilities on site?

Yes, we have a privately operated toilet and sinks in the back of thew studio for washing up
